Alexandra Como Saghir
I was born in New York City in 1975 and raised in Bronxville, New York, and Lima, Peru. Currently I reside in Brooklyn with my husband, two teens and pets and care for my older parents. Sandwich Generation to the hilt, I believe we are here to support each other and help heal unresolved trauma through grieving and acceptance with a clear head and open heart. I can provide you with empathy, practical answers, and comfort.
I have a BFA from New York University. I am fluent in Spanish and French. I have trained with DeathWives and the End Of Life Doula Association (INELDA) and am constantly undergoing new training from many sources such as Morbid Anatomy, DeathWives, PALS, Endwell, etc. I have a strong connection with Green-Wood Cemetery and work closely with their death education department whenever possible.
I have a solid career as a leading real estate agent in Brooklyn and specialize in down-sizing for the elderly as well as estate sale preparation and marketing.
My experience in death is both personal and professional and I am very much interested in changing the conversation, or at least having a conversation, about death and death preparation. In my free time, I love to travel, go to the movies, and explore my physical and spiritual well-being. I spend an inordinate amount of time with my dog, Leroy who is a licensed therapy and ESA.
